Joyce Peterson Membership Grant
Description:
This grant seeks to provide a one year membership to the LWVWI in one of the following categories :
1. an ambitious student or young person who has performed at a superior rate both academically and holistically with a passion for civics and government
2. a community member active in volunteer work/ a person involved with any community based non-profit organization
3. a community member wishing to support the League's mission to provide nonpartisan education and advocacy for local residents.
Amount Awarded: $55
Please include a brief statement to include the following:
1. A summary of your current activities and achievements to date (academic, professional, personal, honors, awards, volunteer work, etc.)
2. Brief bio and how you contribute to our community.
3. Why you're interested in becoming a member of the League of Women Voters of Whidbey Island.
Criteria:
The recipient must live on Whidbey Island.
