Empowering Voters. Defending Democracy.
Making Democracy Work on Whidbey Island Since 1976
Who We Are and What We Do:
LWV Whidbey serves the citizens of Whidbey
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan, political organization (for both men and women) that encourages the informed and active participation of citizens in government and influences public policy through education and advocacy.
We do NOT support any candidate or political party.
We provide objective and informative Voter Forums for Whidbey Island and Island County via Zoom covering candidates and issues.
We visit local high schools to provide education on voting and civics with our Youth Voter Project.
We study important public policy topics, come to consensus, and act as one voice in advocating for positions at the national, state, and local level.
LWV is an organization fully committed to diversity, equity, and inclusion in principle and in practice.
